I suggest that you install a binary gcc from some other
source (hp probably has kits) and set ...

PKGSRC_COMPILER=gcc
USE_NATIVE_GCC=yes

... in your mk.conf to get you started.
You can also set PKGSRC_COMPILER=ccc to use the native
compiler.
