I'd use it... I currently use mutt and NetBSD's curses library,
which actually works somewhat with multibyte characters, although it's
definitely broken: it assumes one byte is one column, and displays 80
bytes/line, which causes the right side of the screen to have leftover
junk when scrolling. A ^L to repaint the screen temporarily fixes
it though.
In any case, working wide character support would be greatly appreciated
:)
