Hi!
I tried to update my pkgsrc system today. To get a list of available updates I used "lintpkgsrc -i" but ran into troubles. "lintpkgsrc" wouldn't output any results but some strange error messages.
I use pkgsrc on a Slackware Linux 10.2 system and haven't had any problems for six months now. I updated pkgsrc via cvs and the pkglint package to version 4.64 today but got the same problem:
# lintpkgsrc -i
pkg_info: show_index: package "pkg": can't open '+COMMENT' for reading
pkg_info: show_index: package "pkg.refcount": can't open '+COMMENT' for reading
Scanning Makefiles: .............Cannot extract suse_aspell-nb2 version (/soft/pkgsrc/emulators/suse91_aspell/Makefile)
...........................
/soft/pkgsrc/www/opera-acroread/Makefile: Cannot locate ../../www/netscape7-acroread/Makefile.common in . /soft/pkgsrc/www/o6125 packages Unknown package: 'pkg' version missing
Unknown package: 'pkg.refcount' version missing
#
Then, I tried to get a list of all installed packages which didn't work as well:
# pkg_info -a
pkg_info: show_index: package "pkg": can't open '+COMMENT' for reading
pkg digest-20060302 Message digest wrapper utility
pkg_info: show_index: package "pkg.refcount": can't open '+COMMENT' for reading
pkg.refcount #
Any ideas how I could fix this?
Thanks,
Markus
