This needs to be patched out for pkgsrc. Could you take care of
this?
(I would have asked this as $MAINTAINER had you asked me about the
update and I realize this. Not a big deal to have it briefly of
course.)

Sorry, I tested it and it worked fine. But I should run pkglint to
remember me to only commit changes that ___%NetBSD.org@localhost would approve.

I didn't mean that the protocol had issues with android.

I meant that in pkgsrc we do not allow phone-home behavior (version
checks, stats reporting, crash reports without user confirmation), and
thus patch the code to change those defaults.

Ok, I did not identify this issue. Can I revert to a pkgsrc-compliant
version?

I would really rather we figure out how to patch out the behavior; the
new version is definitely progress and the old one isn't going to be
maintained. This isn't urgent - pkgsrc surely has a lot of other such
issues. I would just like us to keep an eye on this and fix problems as
we find them.

If I remember correctly, it was a popup that asked me if I would send crash report the first time I connected to 1.2.0.
