It's possible you're now going to have to sprinkle the memory
conservation JVM flags all over the tree if the hard 2GB VA limit
recommendation for bulk builds on 64-bit hosts stays.

(My opinion is still that isn't even possible to purchase an x86_64
system with less than 4GB of RAM these days and artificial limit
of demand paged anonymous allocations is unreasonable to expect
on a system used to build complex software.)
