Perhaps at some point in the future, but it's clearly not ready at the
moment.  There have been daily SunOS bulk build reports showing it causing
heavy breakage for the past 3 weeks but there seems no interest in
resolving the fallout.

As for licensing issues, you'd have to work pretty hard to avoid any GPL
software from pkgsrc, and for such a special case there is always the
ability to set your own choice via READLINE_DEFAULT.

For now, I'd rather we didn't have hundreds of broken packages, especially
when most people who care about avoiding the GPL will likely be using the
builtin editline anyway and wouldn't be affected by any of this.
