Yes, if you want to control enable/disable fep, I suggest to use its name 
instead.
In the future version, curses may affect to other features and/or
fep may require other libraries.

It would be fixed by one patch & one CONFIGURE_ENV.
I'm trying to update uim to 1.5.4.
