Right, and thanks for that, but I'm not sure the date is necessary in
the +PRESERVE file, I put it there as placeholder content. I think
that a zero-length file would work just as well, and the date, if
wanted, could be retrieved from the mtime of the file.
In the interests of reducing dependencies, it may be better just to
get rid of date(1) from bsd.pkg.mk and the plethora of .mk files.
