I had a look at this code. It has unsafe tmp file usage.

For example, a normal user could run:

jot 30000 | while read num ; do echo ln -s /etc/master.passwd /tmp/dmesg2gif.${num}.dot ; done

(remove echo above)

(Also, can you add a CVS identification tag to the script.)
