  Also, for some reason, almost every program that uses PTL2 now crashes
on my system with the following error message:


[Thread 1(INITIAL)]Segmentation fault at virtual address 0xbfbfd24c
(Stack bottom 0x0)
Abort (core dumped)


  (I did a full rebuild of PTL2 and all dependencies).  I can't quite
see why the patch would causes this, though.  Ideas anyone?
