We use CVS, so every directories have their own CVS sub
directory and at least three files Entries, Repository and
Root in it. Since a lot of directories are contained in
pkgsrc tree, extracting pkgsrc archive takes significant
time. When I last tried that, it took about 1 hour. The
system was 1.5.2 or so i386, without soft dep, noatime
options, over FFS, IDE drive with 600-700 MHz clock.

Actually, netscape7 has a script named `netscape' in files
directory and we have no consensus to put the support files
in package directory, the location of the PLIST files would
not take any effect for the moment. It's just consistence
of other packages, so sorry about the extra work.

Well, to prevent wasting inodes were another important point
to reduce the number of directories.
