Log Message:
The perl build attempts to work around case-insensitivity problems on
HFS filesystems by using GNUmakefiles, so we need to use GNU make.

Also, there seems to be a bug when using the buildlink2 wrapper scripts to
build perl on Darwin, so we disable using buildlink2 for now until the
problem is fixed.
