Maybe an infinite loop ? I start the build with
limit cputime 187200
which allows 52 hours CPU time for a process (I limit it to half and hour
on x86). I've had to do this because otherwise, I would eventually find
the build stalled with a process taking 100% cpu, and hours of CPU time.
