No.

FWIW, all my builds are done with the following mk.conf:

  DISTDIR=      /dsk2/distfiles
  BSDSRCDIR=    /usr/src
  WRKOBJDIR?=   /tmp/bulktmp
  FAILOVER_FETCH=       yes
  PKG_DEVELOPER?=       yes
  _ACCEPTABLE=  yes

(although my Darwin builds does not set BSDSRCDIR)
