Look at the cvs log -- this package was broken when attempting to build
with xemacs, and was having it's package name rewritten by emacs.mk in
either case.

Once this was fixed, the distinfo file needed to be rebuilt, since it
contained the incorrectly rewritten package name as part of DIST_SUBDIR.

distinfo currently contains:

  $NetBSD: distinfo,v 1.4 2005/03/07 17:50:32 jwise Exp $

  SHA1 (xemacs-matlab-mode-2.3.1/matlab.el) = 87943c5bb936d5c14883a838bd53c89c055b8598
  RMD160 (xemacs-matlab-mode-2.3.1/matlab.el) = 48b15d2777d8523387b59b6142459ae1b9c8691e
  Size (xemacs-matlab-mode-2.3.1/matlab.el) = 221665 bytes

so I'm not sure where the above error comes from -- I certainly don't
get it while building this package (which is currently being used pretty
heavily here).
