 It does for me, and it does for others.  Please provide more details than
 "it doesn't work", e.g. show me the output of "ls -lR ${OPENLDAP_VARDIR}"
 and "${PREFIX}/libexec/slapd -u slapd -d -1" on your fresh install to show
 me *what* is wrong.
