 That's very strange.
 
 I have no idea what went wrong. I've build both "freetype2" and "fontconfig"
 on my Darwin system after the update without problems.
 
 Because you mentioned that you successfully worked arround the problem
 I would like to close the PR unless you can still reproduce it.
