Writing shell scripts in (t)csh is not a good idea in general. May I recomment
that you read this article called "Csh Programming Considered Harmful":

	http://www.faqs.org/faqs/unix-faq/shell/csh-whynot/

I've personally given up writing (t)csh scripts for these reasons
roughly 15 years ago.

The website http://www.shelldorado.com/ provides a lot of useful
information and links about shell scripts.

	Kind regards
