Instead of blaming a specific manufacturer for this, it just might be
worthwhile to realise that one of the main reasons we don't have any
kind of 3D acceleration is that we lack support for the main *nix interface
through which this is supposed to be implemented: DRI.

So before you start a "pedition" against nvidia, maybe you should make sure
there's a working DRI implementation.
