Xianwen,
   That depends on what you want to store in /tmp . I currently run a 
web server with php and mysql support on NetBSD 3 with a 64M /tmp . I do 
not have to may issues with it, this is because it fits my setup well.  
Can you tell us more about what you want to accomplish and what sort of 
resources you are working with ?
