Forgot to answer the question in the previous post.  It was mostly the
"ready-to-use configuration" ("ready" especially in the sense of a
"Windows-thinker"), but to some extent the "collection of software",
again bent towards a Windows user who _expects_ a music cd player
(iTunes ?) and burner, web browser, Messenger (chat?), Word and Excel
(the guy actually does do homework sometimes!), and perhaps a dvd player
for movies from the rental shop.
