ok my dumb mistake here ,
i thought it configures the CSA5300
messages are scrolling fast , i didn't use a serial console
and when it told me about: Symbios Logic 53c1510d (ultra2-wide scsi)
i thought it already configured the array ,

i did try live cd (3.99.7 ) but had no luck ,
and it sees one processor but i didn't try the .MPACPI etc etc kernel
just the LIVECD_GENERIC.MP one

it seems there aren't much i can do about this machine,
i can't hold it forever , it needs to be put in production
as a gateway / nat soon ,
looks like i have to go for freebsd for now ,
freebsd uses the ciss driver as Eidnes pointed out,

well, here are the boot messages
