Hi,

I've recently been battling the problems described in kern/25702 and here...

...where ipfilter's ftp proxy causes a system panic (on mac68k, at least).

Hauke Fath suggested the netbsd-2 branch as it has an updated ipfilter.

Is netbsd-2 considered "stable" in any way?
Or is it really just the -current for NetBSD 2.x ?

If netbsd-2 is not considered stable, the issues in kern/25702 are very 
serious. This would mean that we don't have a stable NetBSD 2.x that can 
be used for a firewall.

Should I be considering going back to 1.6.2?
