Hi,

after updating my packaged with 2005Q1, font display got very slow:

I use to create a graphic representation of the installed packages,
using graphviz:

lintpkgsrc -i > pkgdepgraph.in
pkgdepgraph -lv pkgdepgraph.in > pkgdepgraph.dot
dot -Tps pkgdepgraph.dot > pkgdepgraph.ps

Now, the gv program needs four minutes (!) compared to ten seconds to
load the .ps file. While loading, I see 50% cpu for X, 50% for gs.

I see the fonts being displayed as far as if I'd typed the text by hand.

If I press "a" in gv, thus switching to non-antialiased display, loading
taked some seconds only.

Now what happend to the antialiasing on this system? I ran fc-cache,
without result. This started to happen after I updated the Xrandr
package *i think*.

How to speed this up again?

Thanks
Florian
