It's a gigabyte 8knxp MB. I have two Promise PCI cards in it (1
ATA-100, 1 ATA-133, IIRC).

Is it harmful to have an MBR on the RAID volumes, or merely
unnecessary? I ask because I think my latest incarnation was fdisk-ed,
but I'll raidctl -u, dd, and rebuild if need be.
