It's a i386 platform the machine mentionned.

Following appears when the 2.0-RELEASE's sysinst tries to create
the first FFS (wd0a, root), regardless of doing it with FFS1 or FFS2.

I've used the official floppy (boot1.fs, boot2.fs) images.

As the same ones containing 1.6.2-RELEASE stuff worked out, I don't
think that's a hardware problem.

Any ideas?

I'll dmesg(8) to here when the base sys got installed. This is
happening right now.
