Hallo All,

a half year ago I asked already if somebody knows about problems with JAVA
through COMPAT_LINUX and i386-mp machines. But nobody seems to have problem
with that. So I ask again now.

reproducing can be done like this:

install tomcat pkg
run tomcat
try to access your freshly installed tomcat via 127.0.0.1:8080/

you will never get something to see. Instead you will have a bunch of
exceptions(out of nowhere) in tomcats logs which you dont have if you run
tomcat on uniprocessor systems.

Second thing ist that the current postgresql 7.4.6 server from pkgsrc seems to
have problems too. At some point (didnt investigate it further) it starts to
eat 100% cpu and never gets out of this state again.

Note: here it doesnt matter if you got a i386-uni or i386-mp system.

Like the beatles used to sing ... help!

Any sugesstions? Can somebody confirm both problems?

Regards Andreas
