This looks fishy indeed, as others have pointed out.
To find out what the error is, do this:

> cd /usr/obj/sys/arch/amiga/compile/GENERIC &&=20
> /usr/X_amiga/bin/nbmake depend && /usr/X_amiga/bin/nbmake

If /usr/obj.... is wrong, use /var/obj=20

I have done lots of cross-compilations, and they went fine.

Thou shalt not meddle with the kernel optimization settings!
(with the exception of using options M68060 etc., which add the appropriate
 optimizations to the kernel building.)
