Patching works fine on my NetBSD-1.6.2/i386 and 
NetBSD-2.0_RC1/{i386,amd64}.  What OS/arch do you use?

Please note that this package is rather old and will fail to build on 
NetBSD 2.0.  I plan to update it before the next pkgsrc release (which 
will be done in end of December), but it will most likely take a couple of 
weeks before I get the time to do that...
