Hi all,

I am currently trying to set-up and test NIS/YP on 2 NetBSD 1.6.1 units.
There isn't much information available on the actual setup however I =
have managed to setup a NIS Server and NIS Client.

If I type "ypwhich" on the client machine it does display the server IP =
address however if I type "ypcat passwd", I get the following error:

                                        "ypcat: no such map =
passwd.byname. Reason: RPC failure"

Does anyone know why this error comes up?

Does anyone have a setup/install procedure for NIS/YP?

Many Thanks,

Selvan
