This was posted to the OpenBSD-misc mailing list, and outlines NVIDIA's
stance on porting the drivers to OpenBSD.  I would think the same is
applicable to NetBSD.  I think this should stand as a go ahead for
porting to NetBSD if possible.

Greetings, Thorsten.  NVIDIA does not currently have any plans to
support OpenBSD.  However I'd expect it is possible to rewrite/modify
the open files provided as part of the NVIDIA_FreeBSD kernel module
such that the NVIDIA kernel module could be loaded into the OpenBSD
kernel.

The port of the NVIDIA driver to FreeBSD was instigated by members
of the FreeBSD community implementing and contributing these kernel
interface files...
