i've got "new" DDS-1 tape drive with compression. i started dump with -a
option (autodetect end of tape). what i've got was

DUMP: write error 2876544 blocks into volume 1
DUMP: Do you want to restart?: ("yes" or "no") no

instead of "insert next volume"

while dmesg shows:

st0(adv0:6:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x0a 00 00 80 00 00
    SENSE KEY: Recovered Error
                EOM Detected
   INFO FIELD: 32768
     ASC/ASCQ: End-Of-Partition/Medium Detected
         SKSV: Actual Retry Count: 2

- looks OK

so why it doesn't work?
