add these settings to your .muttrc

	unset use_domain
	my_hdr From: "Ian P. Thomas" <ipthomas_77@yahoo.com>
	set sendmail="/usr/sbin/sendmail -oem -oi -f ipthomas_77@yahoo.com"

and see how it works.
