That would surprise me; I'm running it on 1.5 and 1.5.1 and I've
never seen it in a chroot environment.
If it really is running in chroot() in your case, don't forget
to copy all the files from /etc/postfix to the relevant chroot /etc
directory (especially the master.cf file if it doesn't find services)
and don't forget to postmap them.
A better idea, though, might be to find out why it is running chroot
and change that, if you don't want it.
