I used PPP under 1.4.x, and have been using it under 1.5_ALPHA for some
time.  (Over the next couple of weeks, I expect to upgrade to 1.5,
proper.)  (Hardware is an i386; the modem is an external modem on tty00.)

I can't remember having any problems with pppd when I upgraded to
1.5_ALPHA.  I don't know what to make of those ``fcs'' errors.
