I do not know about the new ones, but given the sales numbers of 
connectivity products to/from old or new mainframes that require 
tn3270 I think it is a good thing to have.

Do not know, should work for their Linux port.

As said above, if it does not cost a fortune, having that option was 
not a bad thing.
