AFAIK Linux uses DOS style partition tables but NetBSD uses disklabels.
There's some magic that can create an in-core disklabel  automatically,
but IIRC this works only for primary DOS partitions.

You can try it with "disklabel wd0"
If it shows two partitions (d and e), you may try to mount the e partition.
If this doesn't work, you can still create a disklabel manually.
