The configure in gnome-libs is broken.  The test program has bad syntax for
cheching the minor version of imlib

I simply added:
CONFIGURE_ARGS+=        --localstatedir=${LOCALSTATEDIR} \
                        --with-glib-prefix=${LOCALBASE} \
                        --disable-imlibtest
