I agree completely that experiences with specific devices is most
useful.  However, it is sometimes difficult to figure out from the
marketing literature what devices are actually in a certain product.
Therefore, being able to categorize machines by the devices they
contain would be good.

If you are making a database, perhaps something like the following
organization would be good:

- tables of models
- tables of devices
- tables linking devices to models
- tables linking devices to drivers
...

Even including cases in which there are no drivers, etc. would help
clarify not just known good ones but also ones that need work or won't
work.

Just a thought.
