I have had this same experience with linux when I tried it on this laptop. And I was looking through old post in some linux mailing list ( http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/linux-pcmcia/2003-July/000153.html ) At the end of that post it mentions that the problem is fixed by not routing interrupts to pci with a 1130 - TI1130 which is the cardbus board or something. So my question is.... Does this help anyone help me? How would I not route interrupts to pci with a 1130 under NetBSD?

If you look in the dmesg that you posted, you'll find that there really is
no rtk0 detected.

And that's the cause - the Cardbus bridge can't be used, so no Cardbus
cards can't work.
I don't know how to solve this, but maybe someone on the port-i386@
mailing list will know.
