I'm not sure how to copy the full boot message--this is the last bit
on the screen; it scrolls past far too fast for me to read, let alone
copy it by hand. If it would boot, I bet there would be logs, but it
won't.

The motherboard is an ASUS P4S800-MX. According to

, it's got a SiS chipset.
