Subject: finding openssl PRIVATE KEY that matches CERTIFICATE

I am helping someone who has a new SSL certificate (contains "BEGIN
CERTIFICATE"). But I don't know which PRIVATE KEY they used.

I can try reconfiguring apache numerous times to try the many different
keys.

Is there any way to use openssl(1) or other tool to check to if a PRIVATE
KEY matches a "BEGIN CERTIFICATE" file? Any examples?

Thanks,
