Or maybe the maintainer is anticipating a version 8.0.1 sometime soon? There
are a fair number of bugs getting posted for the 8.0 release. Even
though they spent a lot of time putting out release candiates, with the number
of changes involved, I think it's probably a good idea not to rush this into
pkgsrc - it's a big update and it's only been 10 days. If the package needed
updating for security reasons, that would be completely different.
Of course, I'm something of a hypocrit since I sometimes install
NetBSD release candidates on my production support systems. :-)
