I've been trying to sync my source tree to 2.0 so that I can compile
it, after anoncvs was brought back online I could never get it to
complete properly.

For quite some time it would actually edit the files, sometimes I
received the error something like "moving file it is in the way" I
don't still have the exact.

It failed because of a couple of timeouts also.  Now it's currently
doing something way more funky:

After this happens, and until I restart sshd, I cannot ssh out from
the machine, I receive the same error.

I tried generating new host keys to no avail.

The box is a SparcStation 5 110mhz netbooted, it has a NFS-mounted root drive.

Any help anyone could provide would do wonders!
