I'm running NetBSD 2.0 on a couple of Dell PowerEdge 2650 servers. Rock=20
solid. Great performers. I've not got a lot disk, only around 300G each=
=20
and I'm not running RAID. The 2650 is a 2U rack mount. It has room for 5=
=20
drives. =20
I just looked at the Dell site and the 2650 doesn't appear to be available=
=20
anymore. It looks similar to the 2850, but you can't put up to 1TB in the =
2U=20
unit. The 2850 does have hardware RAID, but that doesn't help much withou=
t=20
more space for drives. =20
I don't know if this helps much, but I'm quite happy with my Dells. =20

p.s. I'm also running a cluster of 20 Dell PowerEdge 750 1U small servers =
as=20
compute servers. They are running NetBSD-2.0 with no problems. I wish th=
e=20
same could be said of the other cluster I'm working with .... local build=20
based on an intel motherboard ... I wish I got Dells instead! (I've had no=
=20
end of problems with those local build machines.)
