I've been unable to install 1.6.2 on a Mac 68k box for reasons like 
this, but when I mounted all the partitions, the install usually churns 
for about a minute or two and then I start getting SCSI timeout errors. 
No one on the Mac68k list has been able and willing to tell me what I 
should look for to this point. 2.0.? has the same problem.

have a lot of the same kind of SCSI timeouts on boot
