Hi
About an hour ago my system hung itself up while I was doing a find
/usr/* -name "*.ini" in an xterm.
I couldn't get to the machine over the network (no response to pinging),
couldn't log in on the console,
left it for about half an hour without before trying to get into the
debugger, and soon as I did that the
machine rebooted.
The only peculiar (at least to me) thing in the log files I could find
was a message:
/netbsd: uvm_fault(0xc0367e20, 0, 0, 1) -> 0xe
The strange thing is that this message appears right after the syslogd:
restart message
Does this ring a bell? Should I be woried?
b.t.w. it seems that the main www.netbsd.org site is unreachable... I
get as far as
r8-pao1.r3.sfo2.isc.org (192.5.4.233) 157.196 ms 157.099 ms 157.125 ms
where it stops.
with kind regards,
Theo Borm
