i was trying to track -current, but while compiling $SRC/tools/host-mkdep, the
configure script exits with the following error:

...
checking whether the C compiler works... configure: error: cannot run
C compiled programs.
If you meant to cross compile, use '--host'.

Stop.

i cleaned everything in $SRC, i fetched the last sources via cvs, i rebuild
tools, i setted all the needed environment variables...
what else should i do?
