Thanx for all your inspiration!

"tip" now works for me. But I=B4m facing some strange
behaviour concerning the width of output.
The output that shall be at the end of the line is overwriting
text from the next new line...

I=B4m connecting to a linux-box with grub outputting to serial port.

Any idea?
