You're completely over-evaluating the level of compatibility between
NetBSD and FreeBSD.

First, binary packages are not compatible: you're likely to just have
trashed your package database.

Second, kernels are really not compatible.  You have no chance of loading
the ltmdm FreeBSD module on NetBSD.  It requires quite a lot of work to
make it usable on NetBSD, and while it is technically possible for a
motivated kernel hacker, apparently nobody ever got enough interest in it
so far.
